| Hereby I want to introduce myself: I am Marc Brevet, married and I have two little boys. If you look to my age (33 years) I am still a young player but I have already 25 years pigeons. I playing in our local club P.V. Hoop in Biervliet, where we have 25 active members. Overall we are member off Rayon 1 of region Zeeland with more or less 225 members. When I still lived with my parents I was a youth member , after that I played in combination with my father. My father has already for more than 40 years pigeons. After my parents has moved to another city, I played one year further on my own but than I quit. But that was not for long. I quit in 1997 but I started again in 1999. But now with more ambition than before. Before I won sometimes a championship but most of all I was one of the big group and I wanted to change that. So I went to the best player in our club for the last 40 years, Jan Lecluijze. I bought 6 pigeons (he gave me 8) and started with these ones. Jan Lecluijze was a good friend of the famous Belgian player Jacq. Tournierso this where really good pigeons. Unfortunately, Jan Lecluijze needed to stop this year because of healthy problems but before he sold everything I got some real good pigeons to go further in the future. In 2000 I moved to the house where I am living now and started with some young birds. There was for me already a little success, because I finished in the club 2nd on the long distance with the young birds. From 1999 on I have bought some pigeons with Jan Lecluijze, so my Tournier en Janssen collection became bigger. Also I got some good pigeons from local champions from the club of my father: Frans Baas en Johan Coppens. In 2001 it was going better, the "old" pigeons where only one year so they were not played so much, but with the young birds it went rather good. With an average of 25 pigeons I was frequently in the top ten and now I was the first champion with the young birds on the long distance. In 2002 the expectations where again bigger. With 7 yearlings and 9 two years pigeon the whole season needs to be done. The short distance is not my favorite but when the distance becomes longer my pigeons become better. My 00-2072235 (which I got from my ex-neighbour Ab von Hout) and the 00-2072213 (60% Jan Lecluijze) where very good for the distances of 200-500 km. They brought me the championship in the club for this category Midfond Aangewezen. Also I wanted to start on the Dagfond, distances from 500-750 km. This was very successful. My 00-2072201 was excellent and won 100% prizes. Also on this distance I was 1st in the club and my 2072201 was the best in the club. In Rayon 1 with 225 members, I was 6th best and the 2072201 the 7th best one. He won also from 504 pigeons the 1st price of La Souteraine. For looking into my championships you can click here.
